A regular monthly meeting of the Town of New Hope Board of Aldermen/Town Council was held on Tues., December 4 in the New Hope Town Hall. It was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Johnny Hamm. Also present were Ald. Pat Monson, Ald. Bill Sommers, Ald. Bob Parmelee, and Atty. John Rapier.

Consent items:
Minutes of the October 2007 Town Council meeting minutes were approved by general consent. The Treasurer's Report was given by Ald. Pat Monson for October 2007 through November 7, 2007. New reports have been successfully converted to Quick Books in the new laptop and it provides many options not available before. Some changes and corrections were made to accurately reflect funds; however, there have been multiple problems with Chase bank and request was made to change bank services to another bank. Atty. Rapier will coordinate a bid process to allow the Town to change banks.

Item 1. Grading work on the roads has been started (R. Richardson, R&R Asphalt Paving). This work is usually done in the winter season. The Public Works committee is taking bids for the Town Park bridges. The steel has been delivered.

Item 2. No action taken.

Item 3. Atty. Bob Geppo was appointed as bond tax attorney, Dallas, TX. New Hope will act as conduit and receive $10,000 as fee for Cultural Education Finance Corp $1M bond.

Item 4. Town Council meeting will be changed to accommodate bond issue before the end of the month. January 2008 will be held on January 22, 2008. Town Council P&P and Pubic Works canceled for December. Next Park and Planning will be January 17, 2008. Next Public Works will be January 15, 2008.
