A regular monthly meeting of the Town of New Hope Board of Aldermen/Town Council was held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in the New Hope Town Hall. It was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Johnny Hamm. Also present were Atty. John Rapier, Ald. Pat Monson, Ald. Bob Parmelee, and Ald. Gene Fowler. Absent were Ald. Jeff Herbst and Ald. Tony Lane.
There were five citizens present.

Consent items:
Minutes of the January 2010 Town Council meeting minutes were approved by general consent. The Treasurer's report was given by Ald. Bob Parmelee for February 2011 and was approved by general consent.
Item 1. Pat Fowler gave report concerning Park progress and grant status. Minutes of Public Works Commission was supplied for review. Briefly discussed recommendation for type of lighting and bid for lighting quotes from GCEC. Council also discussed durable basketball goals. Motion was made to approve payment for new basketball goal. Ald. Gene Fowler made a motion, and Ald. Bob Parmelee made a second. All agreed and motion passed.
Item 2. Election Day announced as May 14, 2011.
Future meeting dates were read.
