Consent items:
Minutes for July 2009 Town Council meeting minutes were approved by general consent.
The Treasurer's report was given by Secr. Barbara Stevenson for August 2009 and approved by general consent.

Item 1. Ald. Jeff Herbst provided Public Works report. Dirt roads were paved with milling & asphalt. New road maintenance is not due until next year. No quarterly grading is required for the newly paved roads.

Ald. Gene Fowler gave report on Town Park reimbursement. Request will be submitted to the grant office on August 26, 2009.

There was general discussion concerning Dedication Day with regard to vendors, speakers, parking, and placement of events. Motion was made by Ald. Jeff Herbst for $1500 to cover expenses for this event on October 3, 2009. Pat Monson seconded the motion. Motion was approved by general consent. This event will be a combination of Town Park dedication and National Night Out.

There was general discussion concerning security lighting, locations for power lines, and lighting expenses.

Item 4. There was discussion concerning public hearing concerning Mayor's Proposed New Hope Town budget for 2009-2010 and number of days required prior to adoption of New Hope tax rate and Tax ordinance. Motion was made by Ald. Herbst to have public hearing concerning Mayor's proposed budget to be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 7:00, with work session immediately following. Ald. Pat Monson seconded. Motion was approved by general consent.
