A regular monthly meeting of the Town of New Hope Board of Aldermen/Town Council was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in the New Hope Town Hall. It was called to order at 7:38 p.m. by Mayor Johnny Hamm. Also present were Ald. Bill Sommers, Ald. Bob Parmelee, Ald. Gene Fowler, Atty. John Rapier, and Secretary Barbara Stevenson. Absent were Ald. Pat Monson and Jeff Herbst.

Consent items:
Minutes of the March 9, 2009, Town Council meeting minutes were approved by general consent. The Treasurer's report was given by Secr. Barbara Stevenson for April 2009 and approved by general consent.

Item 1. Gene Fowler gave a report on the subcommittee meeting for the Town Park. Members discussed placement of items such as benches, boulders, and tables. All tables and benches have been ordered.

Item 2. Road maintenance. Tabled until next meeting.

Item 3. The Town had two bids on rain gutters for the Town Hall. There was discussion concerning both services offered and low bid was accepted. Motion was made to accept the bid by Ald. Bob Parmelee and seconded by Ald. Bill Sommers.

Future meeting dates were read.

There was no citizen input.
